direct "read" access, only (unless Rick's updated it to do R/W). The
Usual Caveats about multiple writers for minidisks still apply.  If you
need to access a selection of minidisk (not just the same one every
time), it's a bit tricky to use.

NFS allows reasonably safe R/W access to all three CMS storage methods,
and you can easily change what disks you access by a "standard" Linux
mount/umount syntax with a external helper program to supply
authentication info.
