CP can do I/O above the line already, the problem is with the *user* I/O that requires the page under the real bar. So when the sum of all Oracle active SGA's grows beyond 2G, the virtual machines are competing for a place under the bar to have their SGA mapped to do I/O. Whether this competition is painful depends on how much xstore you have, how much you overcommit, and how much is active at the same time. For some configurations MDC (but not in xstore) may provide relief as well.
