install, I'm

A technicality (well, not really, but . . ) you install Linux on s390 or
zSeries, not OS390. OS390 is an operating system also, and of a quite
different beast.

> getting the following,

>"Cannot read package data from installation media. Media error, no
proposal".

In your SuSE manual there are instructions for stagings the CD's to disk

>This is the last step prior to installing the O/S to disk.

>My SLES9 CD1.iso is mounted on /mnt only.

>Do I need to mount all of the iso's, i.e. /mnt/CD2 and /mnt/CD3 and so on?

>What filesystem structure or directory structure or format is SLES9 looking
for?

>Thank you.
