Since SLES9 is based on a 2.6 kernel, look here Sure, the way the drivers work in 2.6 is fairly elegant once you get used to it... But to understand what mkinitrd does with the initrd, and to get that right imho requires a lobotomy. The thing is way too much trying to do what's good for me even though I do not ask for it. I would like do the thinking myself and compose the input files for mkinitrd rather than have it go out and even issue CP commands to help me during mkinitrd. Especially since YaST blows up in my face with a segmentation fault when I try to add disks the way it likes it, I end up doing it all myself. -- Rob van der Heij rvdheij @ gmail.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
