Sorry you're surprised, but Slack/390 actually supports one more installation method (SMB) than Slackware itself does. Anyone who wants to spend the time to add FTP/HTTP support to the installer is welcome to send code for possible inclusion. (It's all written in bash scripts.) I have a lot of other work to do on the installer to handle the large variety of network interface types that are possible on Linux/390. I won't have much/any time to add another installation method.
