 Note that 3com has a very popular line of ethernet cards with
 the 02608C prefix.  It might be that there aren't so many left in
 use, many were ISA cards.  I believe it was assigned before the
 global/local bit was assigned.   There are a few other 02....
 assignments, but not near as popular as 3com.  I have used many 02608C
 cards.
