Hi Eddie: You can use yast from a telnet or ssh session and configure a new 
network device. If stuck without ssh or telnet you can use the 3270 and copy 
the configuration files from /etc/sysconfig/network and use sed or other line 
editor tool and configure the interface.

 I am  currently running   SuSE9 with one ineterface to GuestLAN. I want to
add new interface to VSWITCH. On  the proevious  release,   I need to do
add modules.conf and chandev.conf
 for the new interface.  How do I add a new network interface?
