Hi, all.
I use SLES9s(LNX-A and LNX-B) under z/VM V5 on LPAR-A.
I made new LPAR(LPAR-B).
I want to move SLES9(LNX-A) running on z/VM to LPAR-B.
I don't want to do new installation.
I think moving process is below.
1)use DDR copy, I make LNX-C(new SLES9 but eqaul LNX-B) to
LPAR-B.
2)Run LNX-B on z/VM.
3)Attach LNX-C's / to LNX-B.
4)change parameter(add the "dasd" parameter) in zipl.conf
of LNX-C from LNX-B.
5)use command 'chroot'.
6)use command 'mkinitrd' and 'zipl'.
7)shutdown LNX-B and LNX-C.
8)IPL LNX-C from HMC.
Is above process right?
Please teach me process.
