I tried the 3270 console mode, both by command and even in the directory. Each time Linux IPLs, it resets the console type (as seen in Q V CONS) to 3215. Richard Pinion wrote:

I didn't. I added the _conmode=3270_ and zipl-ed and there's no change... Still "ned is supported only on 3270 terminals" for any invocation... Then I noticed that Adam had said _condev=_ in his note, so I changed zipl.conf again, did TERM CON 3270, then IPLed and got: I 200 CL Booting default (ipl)... HCPGIR450W CP entered; disabled wait PSW 000A0000 8011D98C But even at that, Q V CONS shows that Linux had switched it back to 3215 mode... Still looking...
