I've been told, by a usually unreliable source (vendor), that a Unisys E7000 server can easily exceed the I/O bandwith of a zSeries machine by using multiple Fibre Channel HBAs. IIRC, some people over on IBM-Main have said the same. Well, not specifically about the E7000, but about Fibre Channel going to a 15K RPM drive with a large on-drive cache. -- John McKown Senior Systems Programmer UICI Insurance Center Information Technology This message (including any attachments) contains confidential information intended for a specific individual and purpose, and its' content is protected by law.
