I've got one SLES 7 guest left.  kernel is 2.4.7-SuSE-SMP with a May 21,
2002 build date.  Honestly, I use it so little that I can't remember what
the service is on it; however it's running just fine on the guest lan.

That being said, I'm sure you're correct.  We really didn't start a lot of
work with Linux until SLES 8.

This is, unfortunately, not true.

I distinctly remember requiring a certain patchlevel to SLES 7 to be able to
use guest LANs either for HiperSockets or virtual OSAs.  And since SLES 7
postdated SuSE 7, I strongly suspect SuSE 7 doesn't work in that environment
either.
