In addition to Carsten's reply, I'll add that using Linux/390 for
running a KDE desktop is an insane use of mainframe MIPs, storage, and
bandwidth. Use Intel Linux for that. Even on Intel, I have yet to
install KDE or GNOME or even X on any *server* I've put into production.

Subject: Using SWAP on SLES9 problem - kills network (OSA) connection

Hi,

We have setup a SLES9 SP2 system on VM 4.4, S390x (64-bit). When
installing we defined our main storage at 512 MB, and install works
nicely,
The swap disk was defined as a Vdisk with 409600 blocks (200MB)
We run with VNC and KDE, with OSA connectivity and the desktop starts up
and we can run SSH2, KDE applications ok.
