A zAAP cannot initiate I/O or receive I/O interrupts. I guess IBM stripped out the I/O instructions (and I'll bet other "supervisor" instructions). However, another "CP subtype" could be used. This "CP subtype" would need to be able to be assigned to any LPAR (general or IFL). -- John McKown Senior Systems Programmer UICI Insurance Center Information Technology This message (including any attachments) contains confidential information intended for a specific individual and purpose, and its' content is protected by law.
