Hello from Gregg C Levine Mark, when I was building my Slackware kernels from raw kernel source code, rather then from the stuff provided by the company I'd visit www.kernel.org to let me know what the newest revision for either the 2.2 series or for that matter which version of the 2.4 series was current. I'd typically see references to their source repositories on the front page to the site.
