Is anyone using Performance ToolKit for VM and parsing out the data from the HISTLOG file.
What I'm trying to do is transfer the YYYYMMDD.HISTLOG file from the performance toolkit to a x86 Linux box, and parse it and draw some graphs off the data, using cacti. The HISTLOG file is EBCDIC, and every field is just set by its offset in the file, i think. And the numbers in the file seem to fallow there own format. I'm totally new to mainframe type files so maybe there is some easy way to convert this to a something like a comma delimited ASCII file?
