I have been asked about running Squid in a SLES9 linux svm on our z890 IFL. I
know nothing about squid. I was told it is a web proxy and content caching
program. Has anyone run this on their zSeries machine to act on behalf of their
entire corporate network? The requestor mentioned something about 80 megabits
per second traffic and 150 gigabyte content cache. Besides his question about
Intel binaries, is this request way out of reality?
