Does SAMBA/NFS encrypt data?
NFS v3 does have an encrypted form, but it's a major performance hit, and it's not widely implemented outside of the Solaris world. NFS and TCP-based services like Samba can easily be run within a encrypted tunnel (like stunnel), though. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
