Yes, I got the two packages from different places. Rather than trying to sort
out the various interdependencies, I am now trying to expedite getting our
service contract corrected so I can check for RHEL RPMs on this stuff. If I
can't get what I need from Red Hat I'll probably drop back to the install from
source, although I might have to upgrade my glibc for that.

Thanks,
Jon

Where did you get the two packages from? If they were from the same
place, I would have expected them to be compatible. If you're
downloading RPMs from various places, then you're probably looking at
compiling stuff from source.

Subject: MySQL & PHP

Hi, all,
I have downloaded the latest binary version of MySQL for s390x
(version is 5.0.16-standard). I want to install the PHP-mysql
extensions, but I have run into a dependency problem:

error: Failed dependencies:
                libmysqlclient.so.10() (64bit) is needed by
php-mysql-4.3.2-18.ent
        Suggested resolutions:
                mysql-3.23.58-2.3.s390x.rpm

I would rather not fall back to the older version of MySQL if I can help
it. Does anybody know of a place where I can get libmysqlclient.so.10
or a perhaps a version of MySQL 5.0 that would contain this beast?

Thanks,
Jon
