Now that I read my statement again, it looks funny to me as well ;-).
What I mean to say is:
- turn mdc off for mdisks that only one linux image does access because it
  does'nt boost performance.
- think about turning it on for mdisks that many guests access - value the
  memory you spend on mdc versus the performance boost you get from it.
