Hi, Yu.

Welcome to the wonderful world of z/VM!

Since you posted your query on the Linux-390 list, I shall assume you
are mostly interested in z/VM as it relates to supporting Linux guests.
The place I would start would be with this excellent IBM publication
(and it's even free!):

"Getting Started with Linux on zSeries"

It covers almost all of the topics a novice sysprog needs to know for
z/VM, with an emphasis on Linux guests and their support. You can
download a copy at this URL:

http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/epubs/pdf/hcsx0b00.pdf

Also, the main IBM z/VM web site (www.vm.ibm.com) has a number of very
useful links to other z/VM sysprog resources; check it out as well.

Good luck!
