Hi, all,
        WE have a 25 GB file system that is not performing well for us.  In 
order to help matters, I have shuffled things around to allow VM access to a 
greater number of channel paths to our DASD subsystem (a Storagetek V2X).  I 
have formatted the new volumes and done the pvcreate and vgcreate commands, but 
when I issue the lvcreate command to create the actual logical volume I am 
getting an error.  
        A few questions:
                1. What is the optimal stripe size for a 3390-3 device?
                2. I have 12 volumes I will be using, but only 8 channel paths 
to those volumes.  Would I be better off to use 8 stripes or 12?
                3. I have 27 GB available in the volume group, so why am I 
getting the "not enough allocatable/free volume space" message?
