Hi Listserv,
Currently, I have a cloned system with everything in the root filesystem
"/" .
The zipl.conf looks like this :
[ipl]
    target = /boot/zipl
    image = /boot/image
    ramdisk = /boot/initrd,0x1000000
    parameters = "root=/dev/dasda1 selinux=0 TERM=dumb elevator=cfq"

I have now added 2 LVM's. One containing 1 volume and the other containing
4 volumes ( 2500-2504 )
I know I have to modify zipl.conf to bring them online.
The changes I made are :

parameters = "dasd=2500-2505 root=/dev/dasda1 selinux=0 TERM=dumb
elevator=cfq"

My question is this. My /dev/dasda1 is a mini-disk sitting on volume 2061.
Should my parm list read :

parameters = "dasd=2061,2500-2505

and what if volume 2061 is a 3390 mod 9 , which can hold several mini
disks.
What do I do then ?

Any advice or suggestions ?

Also, will adding logical volumes involve new drivers, ie do I have to run
mkinitrd ? The logical volumes are all 3390's mod 9's and the mini-disk is
a 3390 mod 3. I think they should all use the same ECKD drivers

Thanks in advance,
Bernie Wu
