Earlier I reported problem on Yast2 after doing an online update.
I get this message when trying yast2.

zlp1:/tmp # yast2
/sbin/yast2: line 115: set_lang_from_sysconfig: command not found
/sbin/yast2: line 119: check_ncurses: command not found
You need to install yast2-ncurses to use the YaST2 text mode interface

I went to SuSE9 support page, it instructed me to update popt.rpm.
Unfortunately the download link was only for i586. Yet it tells me that
I already have the latest popt.
zlp1:/tmp # rpm -Uhv /tmp/popt.rpm
Preparing... ###########################################
[100%]
package popt-1.7-176.3 is intended for a i586 architecture
package popt-1.7-176.16 (which is newer than popt-1.7-176.3) is
already installed

Not sure what the problem is.

Help appreciated.
