I have also been updating my systems with YOU and was trying to
determine if that would replace application of Service Packs. I am
receiving this output from the SPident command:

SPident -v

Summary # of packages (662)
Product/ServicePack conflict match update
(shipped)
SLES-8-Int-s390x 0 0% 370 55.9% 86 (904
40.9%)
SLES-8-s390x-SP2 0 0% 13 2.0% 30 (144
9.0%)
SLES-8-s390x-SP3 2 0.7% 71 10.7% 40 (282
25.2%)
SLES-8-s390x-SP4 5 1.8% 106 16.0% 52 (273
38.8%)
Unknown 117 17.7%

CONCLUSION: ServicePack Level: SLES-8-s390x-SP2 + "updates" =>
   superseded by SLES-8-s390x-SP4

Is that telling me that I started with SP2 with updates and am now at
SP4? Will YOU set new Service Pack level indicators? Can anyone help
with deciphering this output? Thanks for the assist.

No, you won't need to install service packs if you keep your system
updated with YOU.

One question regarding Service Packs. If I use YOU to keep my system up
to date, do I need to apply Service Packs? Or does the Service Pack
have more/different patches than the YOU server?
