I have also been updating my systems with YOU and was trying to determine if that would replace application of Service Packs. I am receiving this output from the SPident command:
SPident -v Summary # of packages (662) Product/ServicePack conflict match update (shipped) SLES-8-Int-s390x 0 0% 370 55.9% 86 (904 40.9%) SLES-8-s390x-SP2 0 0% 13 2.0% 30 (144 9.0%) SLES-8-s390x-SP3 2 0.7% 71 10.7% 40 (282 25.2%) SLES-8-s390x-SP4 5 1.8% 106 16.0% 52 (273 38.8%) Unknown 117 17.7% CONCLUSION: ServicePack Level: SLES-8-s390x-SP2 + "updates" => superseded by SLES-8-s390x-SP4 Is that telling me that I started with SP2 with updates and am now at SP4? Will YOU set new Service Pack level indicators? Can anyone help with deciphering this output? Thanks for the assist. If I use YOU to keep my system up to date, do I need to apply Service Packs? Or does the Service Pack have more/different patches than the YOU server?
