Please take care to verify your DVDs are good: I've had problems burning

The Fedora DVD burning stuff is fine. The Fedora verify code trips up a
years old bug in the ide code and should usually be ignored if it says
the disk is dodgy.
There shouldn't be any problems burning CD or DVD images although many
people find picking a lower burn rate (eg 4x or 8x) produces much higher
reliability.
I've not tried a lower burn speed yet....
I have a Powerbook whose DVD drive only does DVD- media and (mostly)
that's what I've been using for that reason.
I downloaded and build the latest version of growisofs, that's what I'm
using here.
I got this on an LG burner:
4 09 01 TRACKING SERVO FAILURE
and some other error in the laptop which didn't even begin to burn.
I wasn't very keen on these results, but I have some DVD+RW media so I
tried one.
Works in both.
Note that I've been veifying by using rpm to verify rpms on the disks,
figuring that an error there means it's fairly likely the disk is bad.
