Thanks Dave. Yes, I have been looking through the IBM manuals and the internet DB2 Information Center but it seems like the DB2 guys simply did a Copy-Paste with the same information everywhere so it says exactly the same everywhere that I have been looking to :-(

Perhaps the DB2 people could better explain the message and tell you what the "4" means? You may want to try and look up SQL2025N. From the IBM manual: ============================================== SQL2025N An I/O error "<code>" occurred on media "<dir/devices>". Cause: An I/O error occurred while accessing a file on the specified media. The utility stops processing. Action: Record the error return code. Determine whether the I/O error can be corrected. ============================================== It doesn't seem to tell you what the "code" could be. Also, I believe you can type: SQL2025N at the DB2 CLP prompt to get a description. Hope that helps. - Dave Rivers - -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Work: (919) 676-0847 Get your mainframe programming tools at http://www.dignus.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
