Neale -----Original Message----- We are having a problem with our Linux guests. We have 3 2.6.5-7.257-s390x guests running under z/VM Version 5.1 on an IBM 2066-002?s IFL. It seems that one guest will just stop responding. What I mean is: Can not ping it Can not issue any commands to it Will not respond to any commands from the z/VM guest console Cannot select it from the z/VM HTTP performance monitor It does not seem to be network related and cpu related. Eventually the Linux guest will become responsive again but the problem will move to another Linux guest and the cycle starts all over. All our guests seem to be affected. The hz_timer is set to 0 on all Linux guests. I see nothing in the Linux logs so I am thinking this might be a z/VM issue. A CP INDICATE QUEUE for the hung guest shows: LINUXM03 E3 PS 00103862/00124399 Does anyone have any clues what this problem might be or can they point me into the right direction to start the diagnosis? Thanks as always. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
