I'm not sure how proprietary the information is, but I don't know of
anywhere that they're listed. Our (VM's) messages & codes book simply
tells the user to contact the support center whenever they receive an IDX
error that doesn't contain a supplemental message (some do). I've seen
some linux errors which give a little more information as well ("qeth:
received an IDX TERMINATE on irq 0x10/0x11 with cause code 0x22 -- try
another portname", for example).
The 0xf6 that you're seeing indicates a transport configuration error;
that is to say you're attempting to connect a layer 3 virtual nic to a
layer 2 guest lan/vswitch (or vice-versa)
