There may be an announcement coming from Marist College/OSDL pretty soon
that might have some effect on the ability of 31-bit shops to continue
running.  Stay tuned.  Even so, there are other choices out there for
shops that can't afford to upgrade their hardware.

No "markting kool-aid" here. Since IBM is not supplying patches
for the 2.6.16 kernel for anything other than 64-bit on z, the
distros really don't have much of a choice. However, I expect
that the distros really don't want to support 31-bit S/390.
