Are you running on z/VM 5.2.0?
If yes try to workaround the problem with setting QIOA off. If that helps
then
you should install z/VM APAR VM63838 ( UM31710 available 06/05/11 (1000 ).
In
addition to this fix, the hardware must be at least the following MCL level
in order to run LINUX KERNEL 2.6.16 in a virtual machine: J13484.137 for
z890/z990. After that, you can reenable QIOA. If you have still problems,
please let us know.
