Hello Marcy,

You should install and run SuSEfirewall.

It is a quick way to do this.

If possible, it would be even easier to configure the service to only
listen to localhost.  Unfortunately, not all services will easily
allow this.

You can configure SuSEfirewall from YaST or from the configuration
files it will install in /etc.  Remember to restart the service after
modifying the config.


Anybody have a better idea ?
