As I stated in my reply to your original question, you cannot share the
same device numbers across LPARs. You can use different device numbers
on the same OSA across LPARs. (Alan will correct me if I'm wrong.) You
do know you have 240 available device numbers per OSA port, don't you?

Subject: can LINUX/390 and z/OS LPARS share devices?

Hi,
I'm new to linux/390. I had mentioned before that I have problem with
linux network connection. I am still dealing with the same problem.

Is there anybody who shares devices between linux/390 and z/os lpars?

I try to share the OSA device addresses, linux/390 says Device or
Resource busy.

(device is being shared between other 2 lpars)

Did anybody have the same problem? I need advises from somebody who
uses linux/390 native lpar mode with z/os.
Thanks.
