Use the IUCV driver Neale developed. There is an application supplied with it that lets Linux listen to *MSG and either write it to stdout or syslog. Then you can just TELL the Linux guest, and you do the automation where you chose to write the output from *MSG.
You also get the ability to connect to any other CP IUCV service, both read and write.
