The simpliest way is to ask your DR provider to allow you to run under __their__ copy of z/VM. This is what we do for our z/OS system. This does not require that you have a z/VM license! I am not the money person, but I don't recall any cries of "it'll cost us more!" from them when I started lobbying for z/VM instead of LPARs at DR. Oh, we use Sungard as our provider. z/VM will shield you from changes in the DASD and OSA addresses at DR. It really is nice. And, again, it does not require you to run z/VM at your company site. And it should not matter to z/Linux that you run under LPAR at your site and z/VM at the DR site. -- John McKown Senior Systems Programmer HealthMarkets Keeping the Promise of Affordable Coverage Administrative Services Group Information Technology This message (including any attachments) contains confidential information intended for a specific individual and purpose, and its content is protected by law.
