We use them with SuSE 9 Linux.  We successfully followed that second
rebook mentioned below and are using them with IBM IHS.

We have them configured as Accelerators - type CEX2A (as opposed to
CEX2C - they can have different personalities) - under z/VM 5.2.    We
did have to put PTF for APAR VM63976 on because they were recognized as
the wrong type without it.  Just checked and that APAR applies to 5.1 as
well.
