Looked about my other systems and the presence of the SLES 9 SP 2 stuff in all of them. I'll have to pursue the root cause....
I've found what appears to be the current problem - Clients are failing to connect to the YOU server - manual navigation is getting a 403 error Apache starters and all, but no where in the httpd.conf file can I find a reference to the 'YOU' directory, therefore http://{server}/YOU fails to resolve. None of the docs I've read indicate that there is anything to be changed in the Apache configuration (clearly there MUST be) but what I don't know is what those configuration items would be. I even wiped apache off the system and let YaST install it from the YOU server configuration screen after blowing /etc/apache2 away and that didn't insert any configuration info anywhere So, what needs be done to the Apache2 configuration in order to actually get a YOU server running? The SUSE-SLES, SUSE-CORE, and SLES-SDK trees are all updated with the most current maintenance, regardless of what service pack it might be a part of. Trying to set up the you server, and the first synch fails when it tries to get updates to SP 2. (there were three entries defined there, SuSE SLES, SuSE CORE and SuSE SLES 9 Service-pack) What is the correct directory path for SP 2? the https://you.novell.com/update works for the other two entries, but I don't seem to have any joy in finding documentation on this from Novell/SuSE.
