Actually, this is a mailing list for Linux running on the mainframe, not Linux clients talking to MVS-OS/390-z/OS systems. A bunch of us are long time MVS and VM systems programmers, though, so you have a good chance of getting reasonable answers. Just understand that it's not the primary focus here.
