Not every case of unescaped periods is wrong. It's only a problem if other
strings would match the pattern. That will depend on the contents of the file.
Given the example he chose, it would have worked, had he not used CMS
Pipelines syntax.
I quite understand that, but I'm not prepared to assume that the
unescaped dots won't mismatch. Sometimes, they will.
