That's kind of the whole point with VNC. You'll need to have vncserver
installed. I'm not sure if RHEL hooks it into xinetd or not. My SLED10
desktop had it set up that way.
RH doesn't, you configure which users have a VNC session started at boot
time, and use the VNC password to connect.
Not very secure IMV, but using port-forwarding in SSH helps, at least
one only has to worry about those with a local account.
Note too that SUSE uses tightVNC, RH uses the real VNC.
Note too, that there's a Windows build for tightVNC, I was pleasanty
surprised to find it (and a few other tools) on my S DVD.
