You would need to look at the data from your performance monitor. It's entirely possible that you could shrink those down, not increase the swap space on the Linux system (assuming you're using VDISK, which we know you're not currently), and come out ahead of the game. Without data from a performance monitor, you're completely blind. As is starting to be talked about in other replies to this thread, by substituting VM page space for Linux page space, you're actually going to need _double_ the disk space, to keep below Rob's recommendation of 50% utilization of the VM page space. Only you can determine if the performance benefits makes that a worthwhile trade.
