Perhaps I was a bit too critical of the situation Jim, through no fault
of his own, finds himself in. And a reasonable argument can be made that
having even approximate numbers of memory use is better than having
none. Of course, I still believe that having a management that does not
see the value in monitoring and reporting tools is like purchasing a
Rolls-Royce, outfitting it with the cheapest tires (tyres for our
English friends)available and then complaining that R&R makes lousy
automobiles when you slide off an icy road....

Linux guest enough breathing room to run those processes without
swapping much if at all.
The fact that that memory may or may not in fact actually exist on
the host is a different issue.
