Ok, here's what I think your problem is. You only have the SUSE SLES-9 installation source defined (and that incorrectly). You don't have the SUSE CORE-9 installation source defined at all. If you go into yast -> Software -> Change Source of Installation, you should have two entries such as this: *Status*Name *URL * *On *SUSE SLES Version 9 *nfs://osdlnfs.osdl.suse* *On *SUSE CORE Version 9 *nfs://osdlnfs.osdl.suse| The URLs associated with them should be: SUSE SLES 9: /path/to/sles9xsp3root/sles9/CD1 SUSE CORE 9: /path/to/sles9xsp3root/core9/CD1 What you appear to have are several variations of simply /sles9xsp3root/ Just to be safe, if I were you, I would go to /var/adm/YaST/InstSrcManager/ and do an rm -rf IS_CACHE_0x00000003 IS_CACHE_0x00000004 IS_CACHE_0x00000007 and then I would modify the SUSE SLES9 source, and add the SUSE CORE 9 source.
