Not to undercut ourselves, but depending on your requirements, you could also run DFSMS to manage your HSM and present it to Linux as NFS-shared space, and then back up directly to it with Bacula (you can make it work with Amanda too, but Bacula is easier), without having to use our mtx client-server. It depends on what exactly you want to accomplish and what you already have in your environment. It's my strong belief that you want file-level, not just volume- level, backup for your Linux guests in most cases.
