Hi Folks,

How do we make Lotus Domino multitask to take advantage of additional
CPU's?

We're benchmarking Domino under z/Linux in a 2x IFL z/VM 5.2 environment.
I've defined 2x CPU's in the user directory entry for the guest and
INDicate USER shows CPU time against both IFL's. Linux indicates that it
sees 2x CPU's at bootup.

However, top within Linux and the RMF DDI interface only ever show the one
process using 100% of one CPU and the z/VM Performance Toolkit only ever
shows a maximum of 100% of one engine being used. Although both IFL's are
being used, this appears to be sequential use of one and then the other,
not both concurrently.

I'm no Domino person (our Midrange Server guys are running the
benchmarks), but they showed me a display that they say demonstrates that
Domino recognises that there are 2x CPU's.

Any ideas?
