Not as far as I know.
I'm from the west-of-Atlanta Thorntons, who are descended from the
Virginia Thorntons awarded a land grant by Washington after the
Revolutionary war.
Oddly, the Thornton side of the family goes in for teaching much more
than IT, but the Marchiselli side (my mother's line) goes in heavily
for IT in this generation.
