That method was for SLES9, and is not used for SLES10. The SLES9 SPx CDs only contained what was updated from the GA version. The README files I see on the media make no mention of it. As has been discussed here previously, if you want to set up a local SLES10 update server, you should install YUP and use that to set up your repository.
