You need the iproute2 package and the srcvipa package installed. The concepts are going to be similar to VIPA elsewhere in that it usually involves a dynamic routing protocol (install the quagga package to get full OSPF peer capabilities), and the srcvipa package modifies the outgoing packets to have the virtual ip address as the source ip. It is a good idea to have the VIPA addresses in a separate subnet (theoretically possible to have them in the same subnet, but setup becomes very complex -- here be dragons).
The cluster approach is also good, if a bit more complicated to set up. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
