Well, there is a memory leak in WAS 6.1.0.7 and 6.1.0.9 which is why we're trying 11 (PK46366). I'm hoping the app doesn't have any. Just got there so we will be watching it.
I wonder if kernel setting vm.swappiness needs to be much lower than the default of 60 in this env. I recall Nationwide saying something about that at SHARE...
