Hi Ray
I have done this very often.
I have increased LVM by adding new DASD.
I have increased non LVM by adding new DASD. Configure the DASD. Umount old
DASD. Detach old DASD. Define new DASD as old DASD and mount. Make
directory change for DASD.
I have added Processors
I have added network devices and defined new networks.

I have a feeling this is something that rarely happens, but how common
is it for Linux servers running in a virtual machine to change their
configuration on the fly? For example, although it is obviously possible
to LINK or DETACH virtual devices while the server is running, does it
ever happen in practice?

Many thanks...
Ray Mansell
