As Mark Perry noted, DASD adds/deletes are probably the most common.  The 
addition/removal of SCSI LUNs is also not uncommon, even in non-virtualized 
Linux systems.  We're looking forward to the day when the amount of virtual 
storage can be changed without system interruption, but until then CMM gives 
you a similar ability.
